This reminds me of a time I was in an allergy study and we had to be outside for 8 hours. After a few hours they offered to go to blockbuster for all of us and rent two movies. We, as a group, decided on "The Generals Daughter" and I can't recall the second choice. Anyways they come back, open The Generals Daughter case and lo and behold "American Pie". I was around 16 or 17 at the time I wanna say. Well did I mention my father and mother were in the study too? Needless to say the opening scene was embarrasing, especially when your mother turns and asks "So is that what you do with the door locked?". The only good thing is there was a bad glare so we mostly saw an image of a tree in the tv lol. Plus the $800 dollar sum payed to each of the participants

In any case:

1. Any Porno
2. American Pie
3. Euro Trip
4. Girl Next Door
5. Road trip

Sadly enough I have seen all those movies with my parents (including the porn) Although now I am not so embarrassed when it comes to these things. My parents have always been cool people

I've always been the avid movie-goer in my family, and being as I liked all the science-fiction movies and my parents didn't (Dad's a Western fan, Mom's your basic chick-flick), so I spent more time watching movies with my friends than with the parents.

I would say my list of films I would not want to watch with my parents would be:

1.) The American Pie movies. Oh, how I hate them, let me count the ways...
2.) The Scary Movie movies. I think Scary Movie 2 or 3 is the only movie I've ever rented that I actually stopped, and returned to the store.
3.) Any overt sexual humor.
4.) Any gory movie.
5.) Any horror movie.

But it was a good suggestion as to what movies I'd LIKE to see with my parents:

1.) The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've watched these with my mom, she loves them.
2.) Shrek 1 & 2, pretty much any Pixar movie.
3.) Clue. They'd have a hard time staying up with it, but the humor is great.

Ah, well, all I can think of for now.

Hon, your dad and grandma already saw Clue with us. They liked it alot.

For my list, it's not from embarrassment, but they'd drive me crazy...

1. Any movie that was a cult classic with the '60's hippies. It's just weird watching some movie that I think is horrible and having my dad say, "This was better when I was on acid."

2. Any movie that my dad LOVED and I haven't seen yet. He had a compulsion to rewind and explain why he liked a certain part or make sure we didn't miss something.

3. Certain movies with lots of violence or cussing. I can just feel the disappointment rolling off my mom.

4. (A cousin to #2) Movies that I'm not interested in seeing for one reason or another, but my parents loved. I will forever be asked if I've seen it yet, or forced to rent it when I visit.

5. Anything with explicit sex scenes. I'm an adult and my parents were pretty cool about being honest with us about this kinda thing, but it doesn't mean I have to watch it with them. (And no, I'm not talking about porn, just extremely gratuitous stuff.)

I would watch any movie with my parents (excluding porn; porn movies aren't real movies anyway...)

It's all about what their tolerance level is

Can't watch any action movie or war movies with my dad. He always complain that this can't be done or certain action scene is fake (and he goes none stop on the movie and end up fast-fowarding it). But my dad forgot the biggest point about movies. It is fake, not real. It's done to entertain us.
